Ex: Cough, sore throat, earache, rash, simple urinary tract infection.
Simple visit + imaging or minor procedure (or visit duration less than 30 mins)
Ex: Visit requiring x-rays and interpretation, laceration requiring surgical glue, small abscess drainage less than 2 cm diameter, mild psychological disorder, evaluation of sexually transmitted disease with procurement of cultures.
Moderate complexity and/or requires complex procedure (or visit duration longer than 45 mins)
Ex: Laceration requiring local anesthesia and single-layer stitches, abscess greater than 2 cm with local anesthesia and drainage, fracture management requiring plaster slab/cast without reduction, evaluation for deep vein thrombosis with laboratory testing and/or imaging, complex psychological conditions, or any medical conditions requiring a single dose of intravenous medication.
Complex visit/procedure or medical condition requiring ongoing treatment with multiple doses of medication (or visit duration longer than 90 mins)
Ex: Migraine/headache treatment, kidney stones/infection, gastroenteritis requiring IV therapies, asthma, chest pain requiring blood work and/or imaging, abdominal pain requiring blood work and/or imaging, vaginal bleeding in pregnancy requiring blood work and/or imaging, fracture management with reduction and immobilization, complex laceration repair (>7 cm or requiring multi-layer closure).
UrgentMD providers reserve the right to select treatment level based on clinical judgement. Any person who is required to make a payment contrary to the provisions of section 22.0.1 of the Health Insurance Act is entitled to claim reimbursement from the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec. Services are performed by Clinique UrgentMD (514-329-1999). THESE ARE PRIVATE EXAMINATIONS, AND THEREFORE ARE NOT SERVICES COVERED BY THE RÉGIE DE L’ASSURANCE MALADIE DU QUÉBEC.

This plan provides unlimited urgent care visits, an annual physical, and a dedicated family doctor. The annual physical includes a wide range of diagnostic tests at no additional cost, ensuring a thorough assessment of your health. Additional blood work will be billed separately.
